Tips To Celebrate the New Year and Grill Safely With Propane

While the official celebration of the New Year is over, it’s never too late to gather with family and friends. You can commemorate the year to come with talk of future aspirations, a few interesting stories, and of course, a wide selection of delicious food. If that sounds like a good time to you, then this list of tips to celebrate the new year and grill safely with propane is just for you.

Only Invite Those Closest to You

Even though New Year’s celebrations are typically large-scale events, we’d recommend only inviting the friends and family members that you are closest with. This gathering should be much more tight-knit since it will be a time to talk about any hopes or fears any of you might have for the year to come. It’s challenging to talk able personal stuff when people you don’t know well are hanging around.

Plus, with COVID showing no signs of stopping anytime soon, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to limit the guest list anyway. That way, everyone can practice social distancing if needed.

Set Up Some Indoor Activities

Since it’s still pretty cold outside and there is likely snow on the ground, any activities you set up will have to be indoors. Fortunately, if you heat your home with propane, you’ll be able to get into contact with propane gas suppliers such as our team at First Fuel and Propane to ensure that you’ve got enough in the tank to keep everyone warm during your party.

A perfect idea for the night’s activities can be a couple of fun board games. As long as it gets people talking and having a good time, it’ll be a solid choice. Then, you can follow that up with a time for people to open up about what they want to see or accomplish in the year to come.

Make a Lot of Food

Of course, no party is complete without a delicious meal to wrap everything up with. Even though you can’t host your party outdoors, that doesn’t mean you can’t cook out there. If your grill is well-positioned, you should be able to use it properly as long as you bundle up while you’re out there. Plus, if you hook it up to your mainline propane tank, you won’t have to worry about a small, portable tank running out or getting too cold.

With the main course grilling outside thanks to our tips to celebrate the new year and grill safely with propane, that will also open up your kitchen to have the room to cook whatever else you want for your meal. Don’t be afraid to go a little overboard. Any extra food you make you can send home with your friends and family as a little thank you gift for joining you in your home on this cold winter’s day to talk about everyone’s futures. We’re sure they’ll be more than appreciative of it.
